Our Vegetable Grow Team had a large variety of tomatoes, all grown from seed, specifically selected to do well in this area. Red, yellow, orange, purple, large and small, we had them all. In addition, there were numerous starter vegetable varieties including peppers, squash and eggplant adapted for this area. Growing plants is an enormous opportunity for Master Gardeners and student grow teams to put into practice their gardening and propagation knowledge.
The proceeds from the fundraiser help support the mission of Gonzales Master Gardeners to provide horticultural and gardening information and instruction to the community and grade school children. Gonzales Master Gardeners is a non-profit 501©(3) corporation working under the direction of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
